Returns will be accepted within 30 days for store credit or exchange ONLY on all items except special orders, lighting, sale items, polycarbonate items and glassware/dinnerware/cutlery sets (single place settings are suggested before a large purchase is made.) THERE ARE NO RETURNS ON SPECIAL ORDERS, SALE/CLEARANCE or DISCONTINUED ITEMS,LIGHTING, POLYCARBONATE ITEMS, and GLASSWARE/DINNERWARE/CUTLERY SETS. THESE ITEMS ARE CONSIDERED FINAL SALE. Store credit and exchanges are allowed with receipt and original, intact packaging only. Please be certain to return your purchase in original exterior box, well packed and insured for the full amount. Additional packaging may be necessary. All credited returns or exchanges must be in original, unused condition. A restocking fee may apply to any order not received in good condition. Return shipping, payment for return shipping, and any subsequent damages from return shipping are responsibility of the purchaser. Please email help@homebodydc.com for a return authorization. All special orders and sale items are considered non-refundable. Homebody is not responsible for any package sent without a return authorization. A refusal of shipment is billable for both return and original shipping costs, as well as a 15% restocking fee. Actual shipment cost is based upon freight billing incurred by Homebody. Homebody values your business and looks forward to your enjoyment of the merchandise you have purchased from us. In order to insure of your secure receipt of ordered items, always specify "Signature Required" in our shipping conditions. If you choose to waive the signature required, you will assume the liability of providing a secure place of delivery and receipt from our shipping company. Homebody is not responsible for lost or stolen merchandise delivered without 'signature required'. Important: Upon placement of order, please check your confirmation email immediately to insure "ship to" address is correct. Should the address be incorrect, please contact Homebody immediately. Once a package has been shipped, there will be a $15 redirect charge should the address need to be changed while in transit. Shipping costs from Homebody will not be refunded or credited under any circumstances. Any purchases/exchanges due to returns are not covered under the free shipping offer. All costs for return shipment are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise stated. Credits are good for a period of 12 months following issuance. Damage claims on shipped items must be made within 10 days of package arrival. Please inspect your purchases immediately upon receipt as no claims can be made after 10 days. (note: if you are purchasing a lighting fixture that is being installed a few months down the road, test it when it arrives, not when it's being installed! The 10 day window will have long expired.) The laws of the District of Columbia shall govern the validity, construction, performance and enforcement of any transaction or occurrence hereto. Any and all disputes arising herein shall be resolved within the District of Columbia, unless otherwise mutually agreed to by the parties in writing. If either party undertakes any action or arbitration, including equitable relief, against the other arising out of or in connection with any transaction or occurrence hereto, then the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover from the losing party reasonable attorney's fees and costs.
